Go Elective international internship programs are all year round therefore you can arrive any
Sunday of the month. We invite aspiring healthcare professionals, medical students, and
premeds to apply for summer 2024 and fall/winter 2024/25 programs to immerse themselves in
invaluable learning experiences and seize the opportunity to create a lasting impact on
underprivileged communities.
Our program locations span across urban and rural areas in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda,
offering diverse cultural experiences that will enrich your journey.

Requirements For A Medical Internship Abroad
Go Elective programs are open to college students enrolled in or accepted into a professional medical degree program, as well as healthcare practitioners, medical residents, graduates, undergraduates, and high school students. Participants have to provide a letter from the school or transcripts as well as a resume to prove that they have a relevant educational background.
Our medical internships are customized to suit individual clinical rotation objectives, interest areas, and university requirements to create a rewarding, adventurous, and personalized medical work experience abroad.
We follow the AAMC's guidelines for premedical and medical students providing patient care during clinical experiences abroad.
Specialties Available
Our program offers a wide range of specialties and departments, encompassing general medicine, OBGYN, emergency medicine, pediatrics, surgery, women's health, maternal care, trauma, tropical medicine, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS, dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology and more.
You will have the opportunity to experience a distinct healthcare system with its own set of challenges, including unique diseases, limited resources, and constrained diagnostic and treatment options. This gives you a front-row seat to see how doctors must think quickly and employ creativity and innovation to provide care.
