Additionally, you'll find many monkeys freely roaming the area, unafraid of people. You can touch them, and sometimes they may even playfully jump on your back!

Schedules

Day 1: Marine Wonders and Gede Ruins Cultural Marvel.
  • 7:00 AM:Your coastal exploration begins with Pickup from your location set off on a picturesque drive to Malindi.
  • 11:00 AM:Upon arrival, visit Malindi Marine National Park and the Watamu Marine National Park. Enjoy a snorkeling adventure, marveling at vibrant coral reefs and colourful marine life.
  • 1:00 PM:Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch by the beach as you soak in the coastal ambiance.
  • 3:00 PM:After lunch, explore the rich cultural heritage of Malindi with a guided tour of the Gede Ruins. Explore the ancient stone city dating back to the 12th century. Keep an eye out on monkeys as they may playfully jump on your back.
  • 6:00 PM:Retire to your accommodation to freshen up before indulgin in a coastal cuisinedinner, accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of traditional Swahili music.
  • Other Activities May Include:A dhow cruise to Waka Waka Island, where you can join in traditional Swahili dance with the locals. Additionally, enjoy opportunities for scuba diving, kite surfing, and various other water sports, as well as a sunset sail to Mida Creekwhere you can enjoy a sundowner at Lichthaus seaside hammocks overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Day 2: Exploring the Scenic Delights of Marafa's Hell's Kitchen
  • 8:00 AM: After a hearty breakfast, visit the iconic Vasco da Gama Pillar, a historic landmark overlooking the Indian Ocean, and explore the first Catholic Church in Malindi, dating back to the 15th century.
  • 10:00 AM: Visit the Malindi Souvenir Market, where you can shop for locally crafted artifacts and souvenirs to commemorate your coastal adventure.
  • 12:00 PM: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a picturesque beachside resort, savoring delicious Italian and seafood cuisine amidst stunning ocean views.
  • 2:00 PM: Embark on a sunset tour of Marafa Depression, also known as Hell's Kitchen. Marvel at the rugged sandstone canyons and vibrant rock formations as you soak in the colors of the African sunset.
  • 5:00 PM: Conclude your coastal expedition with a scenic drive back to Mombasa, reflecting on the unforgettable memories created during your Malindi/Watamu adventure.
