Need Verified Clinical or Shadowing Hours? Here’s How Go Elective Can Help

If you're a pre-med, medical or PA student working toward your degree, you may have specific clinical hours of meaningful patient interactions requirements to meet. One of our recent students put it perfectly:

“I need to complete 260–300 hours of medical shadowing for my university degree, but for them to qualify, I would need someone from your program to sign some papers saying I actually did.”

Sound familiar?

Whether you're pursuing a pre-med major, health sciences degree, or allied health program, many universities require verified clinical exposure—and not just casual volunteering. That’s where Go Elective comes in.

What We Offer: Verified Medical Shadowing Abroad

At Go Elective, we specialize in structured, immersive shadowing and internship programs abroad. Students work alongside licensed physicians and healthcare teams in real hospital settings—observing surgeries, ward rounds, outpatient consultations, maternity care, and more.

Most importantly for degree-seeking students: we provide documentation and verification of your clinical experience.

That includes:

  • A supervisor-signed log of hours
  • Official certificate of completion
  • Signed evaluation or forms required by your university
  • Detailed breakdown of departments and specialties observed

If your university requires pre-approval or a specific form to be filled out during or after your program, just send it to us. We’ve worked with students from universities across the U.S., U.K., Canada, and beyond—and we’re happy to help you meet your academic requirements.

How Many Shadowing Hours Can You Complete?

Our programs are flexible depending on your timeline:

  • 1 week: ~30–40 verified clinical hours
  • 4 weeks: ~120–160 hour
  • 8 weeks: Up to 320+ hours

You’ll shadow across multiple departments—general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, emergency, maternity, and more depending on your interests and hospital schedules.

If your university requires 100+ hours but you have less than three weeks to attend, we recommend taking on additional shifts—such as night and weekend shifts—to help you maximize your clinical hours.

What Makes Our Verification Legitimate?

We understand that universities require documentation that holds up. That’s why your shadowing will be:

  • Supervised daily by qualified medical professionals
  • Recorded using formal attendance logs
  • Verified through official hospital letters and signatures
  • Documented in an experience breakdown tailored to your school’s criteria

We can also complete custom university forms or evaluations, including preceptor comments or reflections, if needed.

Who Can Join?

Our programs are open to:

  • Pre-med students
  • Nursing, PA, and pre-health majors
  • High school students exploring healthcare careers (with custom arrangements)
  • Post-bac and gap year students preparing for med school
  • Medical Students

Whether you’re just starting or checking off final degree requirements, Go Elective can help you gain hours and experience that truly stand out.

More Than Just a Signature

Yes, we’ll sign your forms. But our programs offer much more than that. You’ll get:

  • Meaningful global health exposure
  • Mentorship from doctors in real-time settings
  • A deeper understanding of healthcare systems, challenges, and culture
  • Opportunities to reflect and grow—personally and professionally

And of course, you’ll do it all in a unique environment—shadowing in East Africa while exploring local culture, communities, and even going on safari.
